Welcome, and thank you for giving me the opportunity to introduce myself. My name is David Przybylowski, Dave is better, and my friends call me PO. I won’t go into how PO became attached to me but I will hint that my last name had something to do with it, this is also how POGraphics came to life. Imagine trying to have someone go to przybylowskigraphics.com. Sorry, I’d go elswhere too!

I'm married to an extremely wonderful woman, who just happens to be a school teacher. I am also a proud father to a beautiful 8 year old daughter (I need to insert a javascript here, she’s growing so fast). I love sports, travel, and outdoor type things such as camping and fishing. I hate mowing the lawn, but realize it has to be done. One of my other passions is design...

I have been studying or working in the Graphic Design field for 20+ years. From my first day of high school through college and then through design school and onto another 23 years of working my way from a production artist, to being the creative director for 11 years at my last job, I've enjoyed almost every minute! It's great to love your job.

I have a funny story that started in the eighth grade, when we were filling out our class interests for high school. The person in front of me said that I ought to consider taking Graphic Design. I wasn't quite sure what it was at that time, so I asked him. He said it was like art, and being a doodler through my kid years, he got me curious. He went on to say that you get to make bumper stickers and things like that. Cool I thought, bumper stickers! So to say the least I signed up for that Graphic Design class. After learning the basics of Graphic Design from an incredible teacher, Mr. Rosen, and oh yes, silk screening a couple dozen bumper stickers that first year, I found myself taking the advanced class the following year. More knowledge and yes, more bumper stickers. We would print up 30 or more before a concert, and sell out by nights end.

My last two years of high school, I became Mr Rosen's teachers aid. Of course teaching freshmen and sophomores how to create bumper stickers. My next two years in College Graphic Design we didn't make bumper stickers. Then onto design school... nope, no bumper stickers there either. Lots of knowledge from both, but no bumper stickers!

My very first interview was for an internship at Imprinted Products Corporation. IPC was in the decorative product business; glassware, plastics, key tags and lapel pins, and such. Well low and behold, a job bag comes across my desk one day for The San Francisco Giants, and guess what they want a custom one of? ... A bumper sticker! I'm back. Well I went on to work for IPC for ten years, getting the chance to work with such clients as the MLB, NFL, NHL, The 1996 Atlanta Olympics and pretty much every college and university in the United States. And yes I did my share of bumper stickers. I had also worked my way up to assistant art director, but not much growth after that. So a great friend solicited me a perfect opportunity to come join her to start up and run the art department for her new company, Tchotchke's.

Tchotchke's was like IPC but it only had the Collegiate Licenses. It was also like IPC in that there were bumper stickers! I knew if I hired the right person, I really only needed one other artist to help tackle the massive loads of design and production art. I kept true to my word and I had twelve truly great years of running that art department with one other artist by my side.

After ten of those twelve years, my friend sold her business and over the next two years the economy took it's toll and the new owners eventually closed their doors. Although I will miss that job, it has given me a perfect opportunity to start a new chapter in my life.

About three years before Tchotchke’s closed it’s doors, is when I started getting involved in web design. I took it upon myself to reinvent our very outdated and useless website. Little did I know, to conquer this task I was going to have to learn development on top of design and not just html, no, I would have to learn PHP to call the data from the MySQL database I had no idea of how to create. To say the least this was no overnight accomplishment but a stellar achievment and was the start of that next chapter.
